Monroe Gray fails taxpayers and rule of the law yet another time

Channel 8 broke the story last night that city council president Monroe Gray owns two homes and claims two homestead exemptions. He did not accept any accountability and instead blamed it on a "computer glitch". Advance Indiana once again gives us an inside look.

Monroe Gray operates as part of the "Carson Machine".

Without exception, all of the activists involved with Hoosiers For Fair Taxation want incumbent, Monroe Gray out of office. This not his first unethical action while in office.

WE, THE TAXPAYERS DEMAND THAT MONROE GRAY PAY BACK EVERY DIME OF THE ILLEGAL TAX SAVINGS HE RECEIVED ON HIS 2ND PROPERTY. WE ALSO DEMAND THAT HE GIVES AN APOLOGY TO THE TAXPAYERS OF INDIANAPOLIS/MARION COUNTY.

He has an opponent, Kurt Webber, who is running for councilperson in District #8. We've noticed Kurt Webber signs popping up this last week all over the Meridian Kessler neighborhood. Their timing could not be better.

Information about Kurt Webber needs to get out there! This link isn't working, BTW.

I sent e-mails to every council member with an e-mail address demanding that the investigation into Gray's activities be carried through. Not surprisingly, I got not one acknowledgement.

Anyone know where to get signs for Webber???

The assessors and assessments needs one big audit. I discovered a few homestead exemptions on homes that are rentals while researching discrepancies in how each property is assessed. I also know of people who have paid to have their assessments changed in their favor way below market value. The underpinnings of this process are fraught with fraud, and mistakes and there is no way to fix it except to eliminate this property tax system. Keep on them to eliminate the property tax.
