Looks like the reform panel has met all summer and still cannot agree on a plan. That is one of the reasons why property tax repeal is the only answer that makes sense for Indiana. Our legislators are never going to agree upon how to tax property. The current system makes it possible for politicians to use taxation policy to reward powerful friends and punish enemies.
Senator Luke Kenley is no friend to the people who want the security of knowing the government will never be able to confiscate our homes. Senator Kenley is pro property tax and works hard to keep it from being abolished. He did phone the editor of our blog to indicate that he supports reform, but does not support elimination of property tax and a constitutional change.
Senator Kenley inferred he is better qualified to figure out a plan than Indiana's pre-eminent economist. We believe that Dr. Bill Styring's plan of property tax elimination is the only plan that makes sense and is fair to the greatest number of people. He proposes replacing $6 billion in property tax revenue with a slight increase in sales and income tax. That way all of Indiana's citizens who work and shop share the burden of paying for government services. It is not fair to put the burden on the people who are maintaining and improving our neighborhoods. We also believe that the elimination of property tax will bring an incredible amount of new investment to Indiana and solve our subprime mortgage crisis and abandoned home crisis.
You can see Dr. Styring's entire plan at StopIndiana.com
We also endorse Dr. Bill Styring as the most qualified person in Indiana to make recommendations and prefer these decisions not be made by the same politicians who have failed the people of Indiana for years.
Now would be the time to write to the state tax panel and tell them the only solution you will accept is the complete repeal of property tax to be replaced with a more fair form of taxation.

State Tax Panel still cannot agree on a property tax plan

Property taxes are their unaccountable cash cow-They will never give it up-We now have government against the people
We, actually, have the makings of an armed insurrection.
The media block that they have attempted, is not working.
People, from all over the state, are talking about a true-armed-revolution. I hope it won’t come to that, but if it does… They brought it upon themselves.
I've heard militias have formed and are on stand by for the upcoming legislative session. I have no way of verifying the information.
Hoosiers For Fair Taxation wants a revolution...but without bullets!
It is odd that the Indianapolis Chamber and Indiana Farm Bureau did not give the people a chance to choose "property tax repeal" as an option.
Dr. Styring says that an informal vote was taken in the Indiana legislative body and that all legislators vote FOR REPEAL!
The Associated Press is doing a national story on taxes. They called our editor today for names of people to interview. He indicated that several states have similar tax revolts brewing.
Again we say...WE THE PEOPLE are not going away!
listen for the words 'reduce','cap','cut', 'amend''reform'. These are code words to keep property tax in place with some adjustment. It does not remedy the annual threat of seizure, foreclosure, auction, and eviction for families put under the sword each year. Only words like 'eliminate', 'repeal',
'abolish' will remove this counter productive and abusive tool. It was unrealistic to expect a real answer from politicians who are part of this feudal system.
Posted my first blog on http://propertyfreedom.blogspot.com/
