Where was Senator Waterman when the Indiana senate moved property tax repeal to summer study?

HFFT gets a lot of email about Senator Waterman's drive to get the needed signatures to run for Governor this November.

The emails discuss Senator Waterman's outrage that SJR1, the property tax repeal proposal, moved to a summer study session in order to kill it.

What we'd like to know is why didn't Senator Waterman say something when the senators voted to table the idea last winter? We were under the impression that Senator Waterman helped it find its fate in a study session.

Curious that repeal of property tax is all he can talk about now. Where was his backbone during the last legislative session? Did he all of a sudden get religion and grow compassion for the people of Indiana? Or is he hijacking homeowner anger in support of John Price's extreme right wing agenda?

Inquiring minds at HFFT want to know.

Indiana Uprising Happening! - July 4th Rally!

Last year with the help of dedicated activists, the great people of Indianapolis ousted a very popular incumbent mayor (Bart Peterson) who was slated to win re-election by a landslide and was the President of the Association of Cities and Towns which is a national organization that meets to find more ingenious ways to raise taxes and mislead the people.

July 4th became the day that rallied our community to send a stern message to our government to follow the Indiana Constitution and eliminate all property taxes. One year later, we have discovered that our leaders were not too keen in adhering to the law and thus, tricked the public into paying even greater taxes as they lowered the rate in property taxes while raising our state's income and sales tax in their efforts to confuse the people from the true increases in taxation. Well, if you think this is going to be a nice event with sweet words and warm hugs, I beg to differ as we have had enough with our elected representatives and it's time to help the voters see through the fog by ousting more public officials from office and hiring a new set of representatives who understands that they must follow the rule of law--which is the key ingredient to the problems we face in our nation.

I invite you to join us at this event and be prepared to become a part of the restoration of the Indiana Constitution.

Also, just recently, the Indiana Republican Party violated the Roberts Rules of orders, thus muting delegates from their right to participate in the GOP Convention process. Not only did they violate their own rules, they have lied to the public about their actions while claiming that they are a big tent party. This event on July 4th, is the beginning of end in leadership in our state's Republican Party as we will aim to grow the movement to oust them from their positions. We ask Ron Paul, Bob Barr, and Chuck Baldwin supporters along with patriots to unite in this quest to end this nonsense and restore the balance of power back to the people!
