Senator Lugar was planning to vote "yes"

I called Senator Lugar's office yesterday just in case the bailout bill passed the house. Lugar's office acknowledged that they were flooded with calls from angry citizens against the bailout. I asked why the senator would vote against the wishes of the people he represented. The agent answering the phone kept saying that the Senator was going to do what he felt was best.

So there you have it. Senator Lugar doesn't represent you. He's more concerned about pleasing Pelosi, Bush, Bernacke, Paulson, and the rest of his friends that would rather screw you over than serve you.

Sounds like it is time for old Lugar to retire.

Having regressed, from free market thinking, to flea or flee market sentimentality; it's hard to believe that Senator Lugar is the same man who once proposed the idea of a national sales tax to replace income taxes.

Senator Lugar is a pollster child for term limits.

Perhaps the Senator's rich friends mean more to him than the people he serves. Or maybe the Senator just thinks were dumb. But are we? Looks like the market is bouncing back today. What's wrong with America waking up, tightening her belt, saving money, and down-sizing? It's the medicine we need! One would think Indiana's "conservative" senator would get this. Sounds like he's been in office so long now that he's become one with the machine and is horribly out of touch with his constituents.
