May justice reign down for city councilor Doris Minton!

Graphic from BartLies.com
the site is still updated and always hilarious

For those of you who didn't catch the Abdul show this morning, you missed it! It seems it was Councilor Minton's turn to deliever the prayer before the meeting and asked a pastor from her district to do the honors.

Abdul reported on the radio that it was a six minute SERMON demanding that "justice reign down" for Doris Minton who is facing felony and misdemeanor charges for battery against a police officer and resisting arrest. Abdul recounts last evening's CCC meeting as "Living on a Prayer".
.
She is famous now for the quote, "Do you know who I am? You can't arrest me."
.
Doris Minton was appointed by the center township democrats to take Andre Carson's place on city council. Moments such as this are par for the course for the center township gang.

Gag me. As if it's not bad enough to be in a position of public trust and then piss it all away (quite literally) with poor judgement, then to invoke God to magically erase all responsibility? Even if Minton didn't ask the minister to do this, it's pathetic that he chose to do so when there are many, many people in this city and country who are truly suffering but yet willing to take personal responsibility.

Why is this person still on the council-why is it business as usual?
