19 million uninhabited houses in U.S.

According to a Census Bureau report today, a record 19 million American houses were uninhabited at the end of 2008.

That's an average of 380,000 per state.

Anyone know what our homeless population is today?

Maybe the govern-mental can populate those homes in exchange for votes, by rapidly converting aliens into citizens? That'll make for a better, more secure America, right? Gee, those folks in government sure know what they're doin' Wally.

The alternative is to let that glut dry up via population growth. Got an extra 15 or so years to spare? Sure hope you aren't looking to sell anytime soon, because these numbers bear out the over-build and the burst nature of that housing bubble.

A little legal immigration would help cure that. That's a damned slow process, unfortunately.

Being a Realtor and warning my own association years ago about the coming housing bubble only to be told that we have a robust housing market then later encouraging us to support "bailout / stimulus" bills, I am disturbed to be even called a Realtor. I was trained to follow a strict code of ethics where we put the consumer's needs above our own and it is quite obvious that we have the wrong people in power in our nation.

In my blog: www.propertyfreedom.blogspot.com I highlighted the Case-Shiller index and just that graph alone will make you angry as we had plenty of information to advise us of this bubble. I again call for the resignation of the Realtor Association President, Mr. Richard Gaylord, and a new blend of leadership to take shape. I also call to Governor Daniels to denounce any further actions by US Congress/President and to declare our state's sovereign rights as noted under Article 10 of the US Constitution.
