The Governor is putting on activist rallies now. Rumors we reported days ago are correct. We received these confirmed details today.
The official rally sponsor should not be confused with the state wide Property Tax REPEAL Alliance. I've not heard of the "Reform" Alliance. Anyone know anything about them? Are they newly minted?
Show your support for our Governor by bringing your REPEAL signs to the rally. Repeal is the only true solution for permanent relief. --Melyssa for HFFT

Don't forget: If the Daniels Administration pushes "tax relief" without a viable solution to administer municipal services, they are not pushing a solution, they're pushing an agenda. Their agenda will drive a fiscal crisis. They will be waiting to offer their planned solution in response to the created crisis.
.
In other words, don't buy into a tax repeal that doesn't protect our communities from economic failure because there is no alternative funding mechanism in place. We absolutely need to eliminate property taxes. But a repeal of taxes with no alternative is no solution. It's a sign that those who have the authority to implement a repeal are using public opinion to drive a broader agenda.
These kind of tactics indicate that the intent of our leadership is to implement something that we would never support under normal circumstances.
They run their game from the IT dept. at Lilly. It was trumped up, last year to overshadow the REPEAL alliance. Just about the time we were in Fisher's court.
SB...HFFT has always had the position that the taxes must be replaced. With 150 fees and taxes already working and tranparently collected, this is not rocket science.
This probably isn't the proper place.. but I wanted to give a heads up that we are having a citizens meeting. Sunday, March 8th at 3pm at the Golden Corral Restaurant conference room in Terre Haute Indiana.
I recommend that everyone attend that can, we are having a Keynote speaker Tim Dyer that is worth listening to. I was very lucky to get him as he travels all over giving speeches and helping groups organize in their states. He also works very Closely with Dr Edwin Vieira, a highly recognized Constitutional expert.
This will help our cause being put in fast forward as we do things with right way, the first time in getting our voices heard by the state.

Here's the link to the Property Tax Reform Alliance. They appeared some time ago -- I bookmarked the site but nothing was updated on it for months, and I forgot it existed.
