Indy Citizens DROP EVERYTHING tonight!

DROP EVERYTHING and make sure you attend this meeting tonight. The republicans on city council are trying to punish Ed Coleman for following his conscience and leaving the GOP for the Libertarians. He made this decision because, in part, the GOP kept stalling Ed's pursuit of financial information of the CIB and stadium funding for MONTHS!

Yes, it's that important, YOU DROP EVERYTHING!

Tonight at 5pm, the Council Committee on Committees will be meeting to decide, among other things, if Ed Coleman gets to keep his committee assignments. The rules say a member of the minority party must be given a seat on committees. Being the ONLY Libertarian on council, Ed IS definitely is in the minority.

Be there tonight to show your support of Ed, our only Libertarian Councilor!

Calendar:City-County Council Committee on Committees meeting

Date: Mar 2, 2009Time: 5:00 PM
Place: County building (downtown)
Room 241, President's Conference Room

Tell your friends!

Punish Ed!? You gotta' be kidding me. This is the same Party whose Chairman (Tom John) mocked, underminded and back-doored the current Republican mayor during the 2007?

This is the same Party who is prepared to reward the Chairman with another term?

This is the same Chairman who made his first bankroll by working with Lake County Democrats and in return used that influence to hinder the Republican Mayoral candidate?

This is the same Party whose Chairman referred to a sitting African-American Republican member as a "pushy b---k b---h!?

This is the same Party who lambasted Monroe Gray last year for his moral vacuity?

What a laugh! Ed should stand firm and hope they strip him of committee assignments, then he can sit in as a citizen and vote his conscious. They will need him long before he needs them. It will be a long year for local GOP, the laughingstock of State Republicans.

Obviously people like Tom and Ryan can dish it out but can't take it. Also regardless on how tonight unfolds Melyssa perhaps you should help Ed start his own blogsite so that he can share his ideas without being personally attacked by the "big tent/small ideas" elites.

Coleman's Comments or Ed the RINO Hunter are my picks....good luck Ed and thanks for the heads up Melyssa!

What happened last night? I never heard any news other than a meeting. If Ed Coleman is removed from any committees by his former Republican counterparts, I will no longer support the Republican Party and join the Libertarians. I'm sick and tired of this stupid bull shit in my own party.
