Your Next Paycheck Will Be Lower: Peterson's 1.65% Tax Increase Goes Into Effect Today

Peterson's city council rubber stamped a 1.65% county option income tax increase last summer with a council auditorium filled with protestors shouting "NO MORE TAXES". Patrice Abdullah was one of the city councilors who voted to raise your tax even though he does not live in his district, city council president knew all year Abdullah did not reside in his district, and he subsequently resigned when this fact was brought to light by local democrat Abu Henderson and later by talk show host Abdul Hakim-Shabazz.

We say "Peterson's city council" because the majority of councilors do not obey the will of the people, but rather do what Peterson expects. In this case Peterson wanted more of your money, even on the heels of a property tax that promises to cripple homeownership in Indianapolis next year when the new assessments arrive.

Your next paycheck will be lower.

Yes, 'cripple home ownership' is already happening within Indianapolis, as evidenced by the massive number of for sale and foreclosure signs. Judging from the Sunday 'Star' news and the followup of today's Monday's Star editorial, coupled with previous articles on conflict of interest with a construction company, the Democrats really need to ask themselves if he has become more of a liability in an election year, than an asset. The thought of 4 more re-elected years this November will keep many of the protesters in the forefront and headlines. With CCC members presiding over the largest overspending and overtaxed measure ever inflicted on the citizens of Indianapolis, is their president really worth keeping in that position.

If the taxpayer voters will JUST KEEP THIS FRESH IN THEIR MINDS:

Bart means tax increases whenever, wherever, and for whatever he wants at the moment.

The only thing Bart does better than get approval for tax increases, is to come up with ideas for tax increases in the first place.
