Ballard, the antedote to Peterson's partisan politics

One of the Indiana Tea Party activists speaks out about the Indy Star's endorsement of Peterson in her letter to the editor.

I was horrified to read of The Star's endorsement of Bart Peterson. I am wondering if The Star has been asleep at the wheel during these past six months of tax protests from thousands of city residents.

If there was ever a case for term limits, Peterson is it. We have had eight years of "spend first and then figure out how you are going to pay for it'' politics. The residents of Indianapolis have been the losers.

I see what The Star considers Greg Ballard's greatest weakness to be his greatest strength. He is not a politician and won't be locked in to either party if he's elected because the GOP has done nothing to support him.

Greg Ballard is a true independent, something I consider quite refreshing in this era of partisan politics.

Completely agree with your comments. Greg Ballard has shone his strength and tenacity, running a grassroots campaign with a paucity of finances and no party support.

He's been criticized for not having experience. Unlike Bart, Greg was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He's one of us! He doesn't profess to have all the answers to our city's problems. What he WILL do is roll up his sleeves and confront the problem head-on with honesty and integrity. It's a far cry from Bart's plastic smile and empty rhetoric about how great things are in this city.

Vote for Ballard and a new direction for our beloved city!!!
