Politicians can breathe easier tonight, the sheeple aren't getting mortgage increases all at once

* Sheeple is a term of disparagement, a portmanteau created by combining the words "sheep" and "people." It is often used to denote persons who acquiesce to authority, and thus undermine their own human individuality. The implication of sheeple is that as a collective, people believe whatever they are told, especially if told so by authority figures, without processing it to be sure that it is an accurate representation of the real world around them.

.
I just phoned Countrywide Mortgage to pay the additional property tax bill to my escrow account that is now more than $3,000 in arrears. I have not yet received a bill from my mortgage company. I am probably an unusual borrower in that I am PROACTIVELY contacting my mortgage company to pay the additional tax burden into my escrow account without being told by mortgage company to pay up. So far no mortgage specialist can tell me when they will review my account to adjust my monthly payment which I estimate will increase at least $200 per month.

It looks like there will not be property tax angst or uprising in 30 days. As it turns out mortgage companies typically review escrow accounts only once per year on the anniversary month. This means that people will get the bad news of mortgage bill increases at all different times of the year and not all at once within in the next 30 days.
.

This news also means that homeowner angst will be isolated and the politicians have little worry of potential swarms of angry property owners with pitchforks and torches picketing their homes.

The politicians do not have cause to worry cause the sheeple* certainly are not proactively anticipating their increased house payments. The politicians know that sheeple are reactive creatures and all of them will not be reacting in fear driven anger at once.
