SHAMEFUL!!! - Susan Williams and Indiana Sports Corporation screw taxpayers out of $6 million !

STOLEN! THE PAN AM PLAZA

Andrea Neal, adjunct scholar for Indiana Policy Review, penned a damning piece aimed squarely at Susan Williams of the Indiana Sports Corporation. Seems a deal was made behind closed doors to sell a valuable asset owned by the taxpayers, The Pan Am Plaza. Not only was the building sold for less than its $6 million value, but Susan Williams & Co. gave the proceeds to the Indiana Sports Corporation. Tell us, Susan, how does that work again?

Andrea Neal also mentions the funds reported by in Indiana Sports Corporation's 2006 I.R.S. return, which we conveniently linked for public perusal.

Local activist lawyer Paul Ogden is suing, thank goodness! He definitely stepped up to the plate for The People and we each owe him a debt of gratitude for taking this on.

And over at Advance Indiana, Gary Welsh reports that supposedly this deal was done during Peterson's last few days on the 25th floor and his insiders claim Ballard was told. Funny thing is, no one DIRECTLY talked to Ballard about the sale of an asset worth that much money. This was all done about the time Peterson was shredding city documents 24/7 and unloading the shred into numerous waiting city trash trash trucks. It sounds like it was done all sneaky like behind closed doors. You might recall, Peterson specialized doors closed to his taxpayer bosses.

Attorney blogger, Gary Welsh is demanding that the Indiana Sports Corporation turn that money over to the taxpayers' coffers immediately. Of course, if the matter is litigated, its going to end up costing the taxpayers dearly in litigation costs. Because we are the ones ultimately who will foot the bill for the Indiana Sports Corporation's defense against the outright theft of our assets.

We're still trying to find a Peterson crony who respects the rule of law. This makes Monroe Gray and Aaron Haith look like choir boys.

This has the stink of the Bob Grand Old Party all over it.

I wish Ogden would take up the property tax litigation -He doesn't seem to worry about who likes him in the power circles.
