Small business employer says first people he's laying off are employees with Obama bumper stickers

Dear Fellow Business Owners,

As a Business owner who employs 30 people,
I have resigned myself to the fact that Barack Obama, wlll be our next President, and that my Taxes and Fees, will go up in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases, I figure, that the Customer, will have to see an increase in my fees to them of about, 10%. I will also have to lay off 6 of my employees.

This really bothered me as I believe we are family, here and didn't know how to choose who will have to go. So, this is what I did. I strolled thru the parking lot and found, 8 Obama bumper stickers on my employees cars. I have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off.

I can't think of another fair way to approach this problem. If you have a better idea, let me know.

I'm sending this letter to all the Business owners that I know.

Signed
Ward of JOOA Corp.

The letter makes a great illustration, however, no one can pinpoint exactly where it originates. A quick google search points that it sure has ruffled a lot of Obama feathers.

He (or she) can't do that. It's racist!

With the business owners writing skills, he'll be out of business soon anyways.

or, should I say:

With, the, business, owners, writing, skills, he'll, be, out, of, business, soon, anyways.

Since when can you not do something because it's racist? I understand not being able to do something because it's illegal. I understand not being able to do something because it's immoral. But since when can you not do something because it's racist?

What's that mean, anyway?

Do you know Ward? Where is JOOA Corp. and what do they produce? Does Ward really employ 30 people? How did Ward come up with his 8% price hike? If Ward is a good business owner he might also realize some employees have much more value, regardless of political beliefs, than others.

Who brings in the money? I hope it isn't one of the 8 employees that Ward claims to have and is claiming he will let go.

This is weak - very, very weak.

I dug all over the google-net for about an hour for more information but I couldn't find much, either.

The closest I have been able to find is a web log posting comment (the first comment) that begins, "I am fed up with all the nonsense discussion about why it’s the “patriotic duty” of wealthy Americans to pay more in taxes to “spread the wealth around,” or how increasing taxes on small business owners who net more than $250k a year will somehow help the middle class.

I am a small business owner whose company nets more than $250k – not a one or two person non-employer small business owner who doesn’t create jobs and who is typically quoted as supporting Obama – but a growing, successful 30 person company grossing $7 million in revenues that I and my team of dedicated, talented, hard working and loyal employees have built from literally nothing starting nearly 20 years ago. To this day, we have not accepted even a single penny of outside investment – our entire strategy is to leave any profits in the company to provide working capital and fuel business expansion, ultimately leading to the creation of yet more jobs and an exponentially higher tax base. Even in this terrible economy, we have grown our staff 15% over the past six months, with good, high-paying jobs with a progressive benefits package."

I suppose it's possible someone either re-phrased this to make it easier to follow. It may also be possible that someone just looked at the numbers, found a sweet spot to illustrate a point, and then wrote up a comment to speak for that group.

Technically, the justification could be that by transferring your own means of production or wealth voluntarily unto those ideologically opposed to your own beliefs, you empower them to transfer a portion of those same funds or their other energies towards undermining your own endeavors.

If you look at it as economic warfare, then they become military targets (economically speaking) and you should shut off their supply routes. ;-)
