I have only one criticism of Ed Angleton, who is running for State Representative, and that is that I wish he would write more blog entries over at "Ed Angleton Rants" .
Ed is smart and gets it. Proof of how smart Ed is can be directly linked to his decision to defect from the Democratic Party. He sees the party for what it is, promoters of a big brother "we know better than you" government and an undisciplined tax and spend policy.
You simply must pop over to Ed's blog today and read up on the IPS school board meeting that could potentially cost every Marion county homeowner dearly in terms of ANOTHER property tax increase.
While there you can see his expose our government's fulfillment of the very definition of "fair and equal" in a way that will convince you that our local government is completely inept.

Where was Senator Waterman when the Indiana senate moved property tax repeal to summer study?
HFFT gets a lot of email about Senator Waterman's drive to get the needed signatures to run for Governor this November.
The emails discuss Senator Waterman's outrage that SJR1, the property tax repeal proposal, moved to a summer study session in order to kill it.
What we'd like to know is why didn't Senator Waterman say something when the senators voted to table the idea last winter? We were under the impression that Senator Waterman helped it find its fate in a study session.
Curious that repeal of property tax is all he can talk about now. Where was his backbone during the last legislative session? Did he all of a sudden get religion and grow compassion for the people of Indiana? Or is he hijacking homeowner anger in support of John Price's extreme right wing agenda?
Inquiring minds at HFFT want to know.

Senate Housing Bill Requires eBay, Amazon, Google, and All Credit Card Companies to Report Transactions to the Government
Broad, invasive provision touches nearly every aspect of American commerce.
Washington, DC - Hidden deep in Senator Christopher Dodd's 630-page Senate housing legislation is a sweeping provision that affects the privacy and operation of nearly all of America’s small businesses. The provision, which was added by the bill's managers without debate this week, would require the nation's payment systems to track, aggregate, and report information on nearly every electronic transaction to the federal government.
FreedomWorks Chairman Dick Armey commented: "This is a provision with astonishing reach, and it was slipped into the bill just this week. Not only does it affect nearly every credit card transaction in America, such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, but the bill specifically targets payment systems like eBay's PayPal, Amazon, and Google Checkout that are used by many small online businesses. The privacy implications for America's small businesses are breathtaking."
"Privacy groups like the Center for Democracy and Technology and small business organizations like the NFIB sharply criticized this idea when it first appeared earlier this year. What is the federal government's purpose with this kind of detailed data? How will this database be secured, and who will have access? Many small proprietors use their Social Security number as their tax ID. How will their privacy be protected? What compliance costs will this impose on businesses? Why is Sen. Chris Dodd putting this provision in a housing bailout bill? The bill also includes the creation of a new national fingerprint registry for mortgage brokers. "
At a time when concerns about both identity theft and government spying are paramount, Congress wants to create a new honey pot of private data that includes Social Security numbers. This bill reduces privacy across America's payment processing systems and treats every American small business or eBay power seller like a criminal on parole by requiring an unprecedented level of reporting to the federal government. This outrageous idea is another reason to delay the housing bailout legislation so that Senators and the public at large have time to examine its full implications."
From the Senate Bill Summary:
Payment Card and Third Party Network Information Reporting. The proposal requires information reporting on payment card and third party network transactions. Payment settlement entities, including merchant acquiring banks and third party settlement organizations, or third party payment facilitators acting on their behalf, will be required to report the annual gross amount of reportable transactions to the IRS and to the participating payee. Reportable transactions include any payment card transaction and any third party network transaction. Participating payees include persons who accept a payment card as payment and third party networks who accept payment from a third party settlement organization in settlement of transactions. A payment card means any card issued pursuant to an agreement or arrangement which provides for standards and mechanisms for settling the transactions. Use of an account number or other indicia associated with a payment card will be treated in the same manner as a payment card. A de minimis exception for transactions of $10,000 or less and 200 transactions or less applies to payments by third party settlement organizations. The proposal applies to returns for calendar years beginning after December 31, 2010. Back-up withholding provisions apply to amounts paid after December 31, 2011. This proposal is estimated to raise $9.802 billion over ten years.

HOWEY POLITICS INDIANA: Waterman creates The Taxpayers Party
WATERMAN NOW SAYS SIGNATURES ‘ACT OF GOD’:
State Sen. John Waterman, of Sullivan County, and Glenna Jehl, of Fort Wayne, made clear Tuesday they are not running as independent candidates for governor and lieutenant governor (Kelly, Fort Wayne Journal Gazette). Instead, they have created a temporary third party called the Taxpayers Party, whose sole platform plank so far is to repeal property taxes. The two Republicans still have to collect almost 33,000 signatures to be placed on the fall ballot. “It’d be an act of God to do it,” Waterman admitted at a central Indiana press conference. “If it happens, it would be quite a statement.” John Price, the attorney who set up the articles of incorporation for the Taxpayers Party, said the party will cease in January 2009 and Waterman would serve as a Republican governor if elected. But he denied the move was an end-run around the primary system. Price said it "will be a miracle" to collect enough signatures in the first place but that several groups were circulating petitions. "There are literally thousands of petitions circulating around the state," Price said (Louisville Courier-Journal). "If it happens, it would be quite a statement." Waterman said help was coming from hunting and fishing groups and from organizations that oppose abortion. But he said the most calls he has received are from people upset about their property taxes (Associated Press). He, Price and Jehl spoke Tuesday in front of the home of an Indianapolis couple whose property tax bill in 2007 went up by more than $8,000. "I think there is enough concern and attention built through the media statewide about what’s happened (with property taxes). I think a third-party candidate is very viable this year," Waterman said. "I don’t think we’ll be taking that many (votes) away from Mitch Daniels; I’ll be taking a lot away from (Long Thompson)" (Evansville Courier & Press). Waterman said if he makes the ballot, he would have to raise $500,000 to wage a competitive campaign. He and Price announced a campaign Web site, http://www.taxpayersparty.net/.
For more insight please visit Advance Indiana today to read the opinions of GOP insiders who obviously don't think Senator Waterman's entrance into the Governor's race is all about property taxes, but is about another agenda of legislating your morality aligned with an extreme Christian right fundamentalist view.

Depression Tuesday: Find anyone's make up bill on line
Of course your politicians will steal from you
....that's because you allowed it to happen by voting to keep the same criminal parties in power all these decades.
The Marion County treasurer provides us a link so that we can find out our make-up bill and the make-up bill of anyone else in town. All you need is a last name and a street name.
For fun, I thought I'd share the amount of my make-up bill due on July 10th. I've got the money to pay this. Sadly it is money earmarked for immediate home improvements on my 87 year old home that requires constant work (and money) to keep it maintained. My "reward" for all the work I did last year to fight this affront by my government is a tax bill that tripled. Meanwhile the services I receive from government have not improved and IPS test scores and graduation rates are at record lows with no sign of improvement.
In order to pay my property tax increase and keep my home, I have to let urgent home maintenance matters go unattended. How long until Meridian Kessler looks run down with sagging gutters, peeling paint, overgrown gardens, and broken windows? Many of our surrounding neighborhoods have huge numbers of abandoned homes because homeowners just give up and walk away.
I'm sure I am not the only homeowner in this boat, cause I did some checking on my friends' homes. Some of them owe far more than me on their make up bills.
I also did some calculating and I think I'm looking at a 30% increase in my mortgage payment in order to get my escrow to catch up.
Whatever you do, please don't offend any of the republicans and democrats who caused this, so be nice to everyone. We would not want anyone in the party faithful who keep voting for the status quo to get their feelings hurt.

Open letter to the Governor from a GOP delegate

Subject: NAU and I-69
Open letter to Mitch Daniels,
As a GOP delegate to the IN state convention and basically one of your supporters I want you to know that this issue, the North American Union, the secrecy and lies surrounding it, and the expanding practice of leasing American assets to foreign corporations, will cause me to vote for someone other than Mitch Daniels for Governor and all on the ticket with you.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVFfDVk6OoU <<<<----------
I cannot sufficiently express my outrage at this treason being committed by the Bush administration without losing the politeness with which I am trying to maintain in this note to you and your advisors. Please watch this video of Rep. Kaptur, a Democrat of all things, from Toledo OH exposing even I-69 as part of this sneaky plan which has been covered up with lies and other deceit for years. Even our former Republican congressman, John Hostettler, when asked about the NAU three years ago at a public meeting expressed complete ignorance of the plan! Is this the way our Republic is supposed to work?
Unless you divorce yourself very soon from this montrous, fascist plan you will be out of a job in 2009 like many other Americans.

Gruesome Prediction
There will be several deaths from suicides in the coming weeks due to pressure from rising food prices, the floods, over $4 gasoline prices, and the final blow of no property tax relief.
The sad reality is that your politicians don't care if you live or die, if you prosper or wither.

Why you should not show up to protest your taxes on July 4th
Call it righteous anger and more of you should have it.
In order to make your government repeal property tax it is going to take multiple protests of 5,000 to 10,000 people as well as a constant barrage of citizen letters sent to politicians demanding repeal for the next year to two years.
Last year our activists told you the reassessment order was a ploy to make you back off protesting and that you would end up paying MORE tax if you did not continue to fight. You chose to believe your politicians rather than the activists. Consequently, this year you get THREE tax bills, a property tax increase, and a one penny sales tax increase.
I don't see that this year will be any different. And quite frankly, if you aren't prepared for the inconvenience of the time it takes to fight for a year or more, you aren't going to change a thing by showing up to protest this 4th of July. So don't bother wasting your time or mine.

News you don't hear in the U.S.: Plight of millons Iraqi refugees
With millions displaced, foreign countries take increasingly hardline stance
Sunday, 15 June 2008
The plight of Iraqi refugees is now worse than ever, with millions struggling to survive in desperate conditions and with little hope of finding sanctuary. While the crisis continues, the world community, especially Western countries, have not only failed to help but are also erecting fresh obstacles to prevent the dispossessed men, women and children from settling on their shores, says a new report by Amnesty International.
Many governments have attempted to justify their hardline stance by citing supposed improvements in the security situation in Iraq. But after a marked decline, the level of violence is rising again. The numbers killed each month fell from 1,800 in August 2007 to 541 in January 2008. However, in March and April alone, more than 2,000 people, mostly civilians, died during clashes between US and Iraqi government forces and the Shia militia Mehdi Army.
The Iraqi diaspora is now one of the largest in modern times, with more than two million people fleeing abroad. But the ferocious strife and the breakdown in law and order have led to another wave of about 2.7 million fleeing their homes but unable to escape the country. Many of these have moved to Baghdad, putting further strain on a shattered infrastructure and adding to the city's sectarian tensions. The situation in terms of numbers and conditions for the displaced people has deteriorated dramatically in the past two years, Amnesty claims."The crisis for Iraq's refugees and internally displaced is one of tragic proportions," said the report. "Despite this, the world's governments have done little or nothing to help, failing in both their moral duty and legal obligation to share responsibility for displaced people wherever they are.
Apathy towards the crisis has been the overwhelming response."Iraq's neighbouring states hosted the vast majority of the refugees following the invasion by US and British forces in 2003 with a handful – less than 1 per cent – making it to Europe and North America. But these continents, facing their own economic hardships, have imposed harsher barriers, while the affluent West has begun to deport asylum-seekers to Iraq because it is purported now to be reaching stability.
There have been one or two highly publicised returns of refugees from Syria last autumn, which do not reflect the situation on the ground.
The reality is that there are huge numbers trying to leave Iraq using both legal and illegal means
The Iraqi government, attempting to show that it was getting on top of the security situation, and to stop the flow of educated people out of the country, has been lobbying states in the region to put up restrictions. For instance, Syria, which had taken in the largest proportion of refugees, stopped the hitherto free entry across the border towards the end of last year at the request of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki. Jordan, which has also received a large number of those fleeing, imposed new visa requirements last month.
Britain, whose forces in Basra do not venture out from their base at the airport, has been a leading proponent of sending people back because it was "safe". On 27 March, 60 people were flown back to Iraq following another 120 deported over the past three years. Sweden, which has until now followed a liberal policy on Iraqi refugees, referred 1,776 cases to the police for forcible return, and, in a test case, a decision by the migration board not to grant asylum to an applicant who has arrived from Baghdad on the basis that there is no "armed conflict" in Iraq has been confirmed.
Most of the refugees in countries bordering Iraq do not have the right to work. Many live on meagre handouts and dwindling savings. Those who end up working in the black economy are often cheated, and there has been a rise in cases of child labour and women being forced into prostitution.
The Independent on Sunday spoke to Rashid, 14, who supports his disabled father, mother and four brothers and sisters by doing manual work in Damascus. "I take any job I can. We need the money," he said. "I sometimes start at six in the morning and do not get back home until eight or nine at night. I have worked as a labourer, selling chai, cleaning shoes. We come from Ramadi, and I used to go to school there. I would like to continue with my education, but I do not think that will be possible. I would also like to go back to Iraq, but we have nothing left there."
The forced migration within Iraq is largely unreported, with families being uprooted from homes they had occupied for generations. The Independent on Sunday spoke to two families, one Shia, the other Sunni, about how they had to flee. In both cases, the horrors they endured have turned tolerance and friendship across the religious divide into sectarian hatred.
Um Samir al-Rawi, who is Sunni, lives with her two daughters, Saba, 33, and Hiba, 28, in a dark and dingy house in Khadra, a Sunni area where they had taken refuge after being driven out of their home in the previously mixed Jihad district. Mrs al-Rawi's husband died in 2004, and their son, Samir, is in exile in Syria after being hunted by the Mehdi Army which had accused him of being an insurgent.
The al-Amiry family, who are Shias, fled their home in Ghazaliyah after it came under attack from Sunni gunmen. "They began killing Shias, saying we were unclean and they will dispose of us," said Mr al-Amiry. "The government did nothing to protect us. Then one morning my daughter found an envelope on the doorstep with an AK47 bullet and a note telling us that we had 48 hours to get out."

Ron Paul supporters plan 'money bomb' for Bob Barr, Libertarian for President
No secret, but we are Bob Barr for President supporters too. Looks like the people who brought America the Ron Paul money bombs are going to go to work for Bob Barr next.
Did you know that Ron Paul raised more money than John McCain and the people behind the legendary Ron Paul money bombs are planning now to do the same for Libertarian candidate for President, Bob Barr!
And guess what? Bob Barr also wants America to ELIMINATE THE IRS and implement the FairTax which already has 73 co-sponsors in Congress and five co-sponsors in the U.S. Senate!
You say you want CHANGE? Well real change is voting America out from under the corrupt two-party system that has screwed you, your personal freedom, and your money over for decades.
The corrupt two-party system is responsible for bringing you the America we have today, one that most Americans feel is not headed in a good direction.
Republicans are getting their just desserts for not cleaning up American policy when they had the control of the White House AND Congress to get the job done. Instead the Republicans gave us bigger government, bigger spending, and a gut wrenching war that causing immeasureable human heartache on both sides. The republican party failed to keep its politicians in service to the party's foundation of small unobtrusive government and low taxes.
Do you think that your abusive husband of many decades won't beat you again and that you can fix him? Then you need be be sure to vote for more of the McSame or the Obamessiah who are the epicenter of the two abusive political parties that control America, your freedom, and your wealth.
On the otherhand, if you want to get the hell out of the abusive household you live in, the here's some news to peruse:

http://thirdpartywatch.com/...Ron Paul supporters plan Bob Barr money bomb
http://www.thebulletin.us/...Paul Gives Barr A Pseudo-Endorsement
http://rawstory.com/...Ron Paul rejects McCain ‘values,’ praises Libertarian Barr
"Congressman Ron Paul has fought tirelessly in both the Libertarian Party and the Republican Party to minimize government power and maximize individual liberty," said Bob Barr, a former GOP congressman from Georgia. "I want to thank him for all that he has done for liberty in this nation, and encourage him to continue his fight through whatever avenues he sees fit."
(CNN)— Rep. Ron Paul had some words of praise for recently declared Libertarian presidential nominee Bob Barr Thursday, calling him a ‘very positive’ influence on the presidential race.Paul, who never officially ended his own Republican presidential bid, told American Morning Anchor John Roberts, "[Barr] talks our language, so I do really believe that he can have a very positive effect in this campaign and let the people know that limited government is a very, very important message." Paul has ended his bid tonight, per his website. But he still has $4.7M, and he's not supporting McCain."The campaign is going to shift gears. It's going to accelerate. It's going to get much bigger," ... "To me, it's a technical change" I don't see many Democrats complaining about the failure of Ron Paul to endorse John McCain. And there are a lot of disaffected Republicans and right leaning indies who are looking with interest at both Bob Barr and Ron Paul.
Republicans get to live in interesting times.

Urgent Need: An web application specialist to set up email registration
As you know, HFFT lead the way for last year's property tax protests, only to lose the battle. The People ended up paying a 1.3 million dollar reassessment in Marion County, a one penny sales tax increase, and now we are finally getting our "make up bills" only to realize that the bills have not really changed.
Part of the problem we lost the battle last year was citizen apathy and part of the problem was our communication vehicle.
We desperately need a volunteer who knows web applications to set up an email registration on this site. If you have the skills, please volunteer. Your gift of time to the people of Indiana will touch possibly millions of lives.
To volunteer, please email hoosiers.for.fair.taxation@gmail.com and leave your phone number.

Property tax assessors tell Ed Angleton "It is not fair"
Full story at Ed Angleton Rants:
In 2007, five homeowners in the Cottage Home Neighborhood on the Near Eastside saw assessments increase approximately 4 times the previous years assessment. Ed Angleton's assessment jumped to $256,000. He attended all the rallies, filed an appeal, and spoke unkindly about the ability of the Center Township Assessor's Office to assess their way out of a paper bag.
Ed's neighbors did nothing. Now comes the reassessment.
Angleton's assessment dropped from $256,000 to $232,000. His neighbor's assessment dropped from $225,00 to $141,300.
On his blog, Ed points to two other neighbors who exprienced similar decreases, one for $193,00 to $114,000 and another that went from $254,400 to $170,200.
When he complained the assessor's office told him it was not fair.

Ask the Governor: A new feature from Hoosier Access
Even though I think the boys over at Hoosier Access don't always get it right, they have a wonderful new feature to their blog. Beginning this week they will allow you to submit a question to the Governor and evidently they have enough pull to get the governor to answer.
So anyway, here's a link to Hoosier Access where you can submit your question.
I asked the following questions:
Please show the public the math that you used to come to the conclusion that neither of the two economists who put together plans for property tax repeal have viable plans to eliminate our broken and unfair property tax system.
Please show us how the Indiana Constitution allows for the state to tax our homes to pay for schools.

Stang asks which communist will we elect?
Hear McCain call himself a liberal before you read the blistering editorial below.
POLITICAL RUMINATIONS
by Alan Stang
June 11, 2008
NewsWithViews.com
Now that Senator Hussein appears to have clinched the Democrud nomination, and the campaign between him and Senator McChurian Candidate unofficially begins, let’s ruminate together about what all this means for America. What will happen next January 20th, when the next President of this country is inaugurated?
The inconceivable, utterly unthinkable fact – as I write I am telling myself it can’t be – is that on Tuesday, November 4th, unless God decides He has had enough and intervenes by giving us Ron Paul, the American people will elect a Communist President of the United States. The only thing we don’t know as I write is which Communist they will elect.
By now we know enough about Hussein Obama to know that he could easily be a member of the Communist Party. The more we know, the clearer that becomes. Guilt by association is a valuable tool – that is why criminals of all kinds denounce it – because when you lie down with dogs you will get up with fleas. And we know that Hussein lies down with violent, revolutionary Communists who have bombed and killed in this country and abroad.
His Communists here have boasted about that. They say their only regret is that they could not do more (they were on the lam), could not bomb and kill more Americans. Remember that he has gone to help his cousin in Kenya, Raila Odinga, who has burned down many Christian church buildings and killed many Christians in his attempt to seize political power in that country.
His childhood mentor was a member of the Communist Party. And Hussein has done as a senator what a Communist would do. His “Global Poverty” Act (S. 2433) would “redistribute the wealth,” a Communist hallmark, would take billions of dollars annually from the United States – money we don’t have – and hand it over to the Communist United Nations, all pursuant to the Communist Manifesto.
So the Communists deserve to be dancing in the streets. Mohammedan lunatics have been committing acts of terror against us on behalf of their sex, money and power racket for at least thirty years, but the Reds have won the Democrud nomination for a graduate of a Mohammedan school, a man named Hussein, most of whose closest relatives are Mohammedans. The genius of the people who did this is breathtaking.
Yes, there are a few problems. One of them is Hussein’s wife Michelle, who, mirabile dictu, is even less likeable than Hillary Clinton, and has an even bigger mouth than Teresa Heinz Kerry. Like Teresa, she can’t keep it shut, and, when she opens it, malevolence and hate for America pours forth. And there are Hussein’s remarkable gaffes. I would have dismissed it as a Hillary concoction, but the videotape shows that he believes there are 57 states in this country. And now comes the new sound bite, in which he stutters and grinds to a halt while making his own point, whatever it was.
In the historic speech celebrating his putative capture of the nomination, Hussein Obama said this: “I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.”
In other words, he says, American history begins with him. Before him there was nothing, a sick and idle void. But, when he is inaugurated, Hussein will say, “Let there be health,” and there will be health. Hussein will say, “Let there be jobs,” and there will not be unemployment. Indeed, Hussein Obama will stretch forth his hand, tame the oceans and heal the planet. Are we electing a President, or a god? Is this the change Hussein is talking about? Is this what Obamatrons are ecstatic about?
The McCain people should be salivating about all this. They should be preparing exposés for daily broadcast until Election Day. When they get done you should know the label on Hussein’s underwear by heart. Except that John “The McChurian Candidate” is too polite to do that. He believes he is “above the fray,” already presidential, don’t you know. He boasts about his “bi-partisanship,” and says that to win he must convince Democrats, not Republicans. He is a Democrat in everything but name and has seriously discussed becoming one.
Remember that he fired from his campaign a leader who merely mentioned Hussein’s name. Hussein is his name, but McCain thought it unsporting to mention. This is remarkably paradoxical because in person McCain is a thoroughly obnoxious little puke – already known in boarding school as “McNasty” – given to screaming obscenities at his fellow senators and anyone else who disagrees.
He is one of the few politicians who can go nose to nose with Hillary Clinton in his repertoire of insults. But his avuncular aversion to political combat could lose the election, which is so obvious that even Shallow Sean Hannitwerp, the dumbest host in network talk radio, is complaining about it. Voters who want a Democrat will vote for the real thing, not a wimpy imitation.
There is also the problem that “The McChurian Candidate” is a Communist too. As a POW, he told the Communists whatever they wanted to know in Vietnam – even made propaganda films for them – and got special treatment. As a Senator, he has done everything he could to bury the records about what happened “in country,” including the truth about our POWS the North Vietnamese did not return.
This truly obnoxious, little puke who pretends to be Little Lord Fauntleroy in the campaign, has gone out of his way to insult Prisoner Of War families, even making the women in those families cry. In a Senate hearing on the POWS he gratuitously hugged the neck of the North Vietnamese colonel who tortured and killed so many Americans.
The McChurian Candidate makes a habit of hugging the necks of our enemies. You can be sure that while Mr. Goody Two Shoes McCain is making nice during the campaign, the Hussein people will be plastering pictures of him hugging his Communist pals all over the Internet. Did the Communists turn him in Hanoi?
Like Hussein, the McChurian Candidate legislates Communism. Some of it even bears his name. McCain-Feingold – so called “campaign finance reform” – goes a long way toward the cancellation of freedom of speech. As you know, McNasty works closely with Ted “Waitress Sandwich” Kennedy, who killed that girl in Taxachusetts, to intensify the illegal alien invasion of our country.
McNasty even hired Juan Hernandez, a Mexican citizen who used to be a Mexican government official, to run the invasion. Hernandez says this: “I want the third generation, the seventh generation, I want them all to think, ‘Mexico first.’” Hernandez is active in Mexican politics. McNasty hired him and therefore must agree.
-Lieberman, the senate bill that would implement the “global warming” hoax, via “carbon credits” and would shut down our economy. If this horror passes, the price of energy – gasoline and electricity – will put you back aboard a horse.
He is also the author of “Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran,” sung to the tune of “Barbara Ann,” by the Beach Boys. He says we could be in Iraq for a hundred years, and he could be right. Jorge W. Boosh has built the biggest U.S. Embassy on earth in Baghdad, bigger – 3,000 inmates – than many American towns.
Unlike McCain, the Democruds revel in political combat. Imagine what they probably will make of all this. So, again, the question American voters must answer in November is what kind of Communist they want. If they want a left-wing Communist, they will elect Hussein. If they want a right-wing Communist, they will choose McCain. What will happen to the country? What is the difference?
The record shows that the Democruds are more fun. In a Hussein presidency, there would be more and better parties, more and better scandals. For instance, the Republicruds have nobody like Ted Kennedy. Mrs. Hussein would shoot her mouth off; Mrs. McCain would not.
With the Democruds in full control of fedgov, capon Republicruds would feel safe arguing righteously against “big government,” knowing that their complaints would accomplish nothing. Those would be the only differences. Remember that the Republicruds controlled the White House and the Congress for years, and did at least as bad a job as the Democruds.
Whichever of these two Communists the people elect, the government for the first time would install Communism with much less pretense. Because The McChurian Candidate is certainly as Communist as Hussein, he would forego the practice of previous Republicrud administrations, which larded their communism with phony “conservative” lingo and slogans. McNasty believes he no longer needs it.
For instance, Hussein recently told the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a decisively powerful pro-Israel lobby group: “The danger from Iran is grave, it is real, and my goal will be to eliminate this threat. I will do everything in my power to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, everything.” The conferees gave Hussein a standing ovation. Presumably, “everything” would include the same tactical bombing of Iran that Bush now is planning. Again, nothing would change but the style and personality of the Oval Office occupant.
The Communism McCain/Obama imposes would arrive at your door masquerading as a vastly increased governmental presence: vastly intensified regulation and control of every aspect of your daily life; vastly increased confiscation of your property, etc., a police state Stalin and Hitler could not achieve. The metastasizing government could drive people to frustration and literal insanity, as it has in so many other countries. Violence could erupt.
Americans would have a choice, the same choice Russian anti-Communists had in 1917, Italian anti-Fascists had in 1922, German anti-Nazis had in 1933, the same choice Cubans had in 1959 and South Africans had more recently: stay and fight or leave. Why should we believe that our experience, our country, would be any different from all these others? If you stay, you would be fighting a totalitarian enemy with technology that these earlier dictators could only dream about. If you leave, where would you go?
Nobody hopes I am wrong more than I do, but the staggering fact that Hussein and McNasty are running for President and not on trial for their lives proves that my speculations are entirely realistic.

Your tax dollars at work to authorize new strip search technology at airports
How far are you going to let your government infringe upon your right to privacy in the name of the war on terror and safety? Always keep in mind that your money pays for these infringements. Airport officials will force a random sampling of passengers into a booth to be scanned by these new machines which will show a person's genitals, breast size, penile implants, masectomies, and more. You can read about it here.

Tyranny Watch is new to our blog roll
Please take note that we added Tyranny Watch to our list of friends and resources for HFFT. It's so comforting to know that young, honorable men like Dan are out there helping with the fight to stay free. We hope he will keep blogging for a long, long time.
And we hope that you will take time out to read his blog and to learn more about him and his wife who seem to be sincere, philosophically grounded Christians...the brand of Christians heathens such as myself can respect. --Melyssa for HFFT

Ed Angleton on failure of the people and failure of our legislators
From Ed Angleton Rants:
"The 2008 election year is supposed to be all about change, but as long as the two parties that now control our government are continually reelected, there can be no change." --Ed Angleton
Ed is running for the office of State Representative. You can get to know him very easily simply by reading his blog, emailing him, or calling him on the phone.
In Ed's blog today he echos the logical, well-founded sentiment of HFFT...which is if you keep doing what you've always done, you will get what you always got.

The "not exactly's" in the claims Obama makes about his life
Obama's Not Exactly's -- the latest on line buzz about Obama
And just to make sure we are fair and balanced, here you can read the message board used by a group of vegetarians who discuss Obama's "not exactly's". It is not been proven yet, but there are persistent rumorings that Obama might not be a natural born citizen as required by the U.S. Constitution for the presidency.
1.) Selma Got Me Born - LIAR, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961; Selma was in 1965.
2.) Father Was A Goat Herder – LIAR he was a privileged, educated youth, who went to work with the Kenyan Government.
3.) Father Was A Proud Freedom Fighter - LIAR, he was part of one of most corrupt & violent governments Kenya ever had
4.) My Family Has Strong Ties To African Freedom - LIAR, your cousin Raila Odinga has created mass violence in Kenya.
5.) My Grandmother Has Always Been A Christian - LIAR, she does her daily Salat prayers at 5 am according to her own. Not to mention, Christianity wouldn’t allow her to have been one of 14 wives to 1 man.
6.) My Name is African Swahili - LIAR, your name is Arabic and ‘Baraka’ (from which Barack came) means ‘blessed’ in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and so is Obama.
7.) I Never Practiced Islam - LIAR, you practiced it daily at school, where you were registered as a Muslim and kept that faith for 31 years, until your wife made you change, so you could run for office.
8.) My School In Indonesia Was Christian - LIAR, you were registered as Muslim there and got in trouble in Koranic Studies
9.) I Was Fluent In Indonesian - LIAR, not one teacher says you could speak the language.
10.) Because I Lived In Indonesia, I Have More Foreign Experience - LIAR, you were there from the ages of 6 to 10, and couldn’t even speak the language. What did you learn, how to study the Koran and watch cartoons.
11.) Present Votes Are Common In Illinois - LIAR, they are common for YOU, but not many others have 130 NO VOTES.
12.) Oops, I Misvoted - LIAR, only when caught by church groups and democrats, did you beg to change your misvote.
13.) I Was A Professor Of Law - LIAR, you were a senior lecturer ON LEAVE.
14.) Without Me, There Would Be No Ethics Bill - LIAR, you didn’t write it,introduce it, change it, or create it.
15.) I Have Been A Bold Leader In Illinois - LIAR, even your supporters claim to have not seen BOLD action on your part.
16.) I Passed 26 Of My Own Bills In One Year - LIAR, they were not YOUR bills, but rather handed to you, after their creation by a fellow Senator, to assist you in a future bid for higher office.
17.) No One Contacted Canada About NAFTA - LIAR, the Candian Government issued the names and a memo of the conversation your campaign had with them.
18.) I Am Tough On Terrorism - LIAR, you missed the Iran Resolution vote on terrorism and your good friend Ali Abunimah supports the destruction of Israel.
19.) I Didn’t Run Ads In Florida - LIAR, you allowed national ads to run 8-12 times a day for two weeks - and you still lost.
20. I Have Passed Bills In The U.S. Senate - LIAR, you have passed A BILL in the U.S. Senate - for Africa, which shows YOUR priorities.

FoxNews reports rumor that government will unleash weapons on convention protestors
Big thanks to Sean Shepard who alerted us to this disturbing news article on FoxNews. Obviously a serious rumor is circulating among democrats who plan to protest their own convention, that the government intends to unleash a dibilitating sound frequency on activists and citizens exercising their first amendment rights during the democratic convention in Denver this summer. The sound causes people to involuntarily defecate.
Now contrast that with the Marines and their training exercises happening here in Marion county. The conservative Indiana Minority Report suggests that the government is preparing to install martial law and is practicing in Indiana. Could it be that they will impose martial law and use force to silence property tax protestors?

Clueless Indy Star says everything hunky-dory with tax bills mailed this week
You would think that a publication with the resources of the Indianapolis Star would actually have a clue. Today's IndyStar article announcing that the tax bills are in the mail makes it seem like all is hunky-dory for Indiana's homeowners. But this is the calm before the storm.
Watch what happens when these bills hit.
Your republicans and democrats are not going to save you or your property from this property tax fiasco that is far from over in spite of the fact that IndyStar says the fiasco is solved by the reassessment. We hope you are clear on that fact.
While you are reading the IndyStar article be sure to check out the public comments section. It seems the people understand just how much the politicians screwed them over.
Now the the question is are the people mad enough to defect from the republican and democrat parties and do it publicly? And are they mad enough to endure the discomfort and inconvenience it requires to properly parent their government and get them to mind the rules? Or are the people going to let the lawless politicians placed in our charge continue to run the show?

Governor's Mansion - 4th of July - Tax Protestors
Spread the message that there WILL be another rally at the Governor's Mansion on the morning of July 4th. The non partisan rally will be led by the same libertarian patriots, including Sean Shepard and Andrew Horning, who brought the historic news making event to you last year.
Here we are one year later, doing the same thing, having gained no ground. In fact The People lost ground because of the one penny sales tax increase.
You will recall that last year alone Melyssa rode her bike throughout the adjacent neighborhoods of Broad Ripple, Meridian Kessler, and Butler Tarkington to share with neighbors the good news of the Fair Tax and to invite them to attend a press conference on the morning of the 4th at the Governor's Mansion.
This year she will make the ride again, but will have a posse of Libertarians with her. Watch this blog for announcements and updates. And remember, it is this blog and the Libertarians who told you this would happen.
Please forward this information to your friends.

One Indiana lawmaker on the property tax bills: "This ain't going to be pretty"
Abdul at Indiana Barrister is reporting that the property tax bills mailed this week are going to piss off homeowners again. Taxpayers forked over more than one million dollars for a tax reassessment that benefits no one except maybe the big dollar consultants hired by county assessor, Greg Bowes, to straighten out the mess.
Hoosiers For Fair Taxation told you over and over that you needed to continue to fight and protest, yet the protests got smaller and smaller and the people did not see relief and we got a one penny sales tax INCREASE.
We skipped dinner to attend last year's long boring budget meetings and listened while the asessors testified there would be little change. Where were you? There were maybe 10 citizens at the meeting last August which was not even close to enough public outrage to put pressure on these so-called public servants.
So the question is, what will YOU do now? Are you going to bend over and pay it or are you going to really fight this time? Are you going to believe them when they tell you that they are bringing you relief? This was all a game to them and the people lost.
In the meantime, you can petition Indiana to pay you back approximately half of the property tax you've paid in the past decades. John Price wrote the petition document after his constitutional lawsuit asserting that much of property tax is ILLEGALLY collected was tossed last year because the judge declared it is first necessary to attempt an "administrative remedy". John Price wrote the administrative remedy. It is a Refund Request for Improperly Collected Tax.
Article 8 of the Indiana Constitution states that school levies are to be paid with corporation taxes, not homeowners. Most of you don't recall that before the depression business taxes paid for schools. The depression made it necessary for Indiana homeowners to band together and agree to pay tax based on their property to make sure their children were educated. Unfortunately our legislators, the ISTA, the superintendents, administrators, architects, roofing companies and everyone else that PROFITS from Indiana's schools got greedy.
So the question is, what are YOU going to do this time?

Your mortgage payment might be going up: Your property tax make-up bills to arrive any day
Channel 6 is reporting that the property tax bills are mailed and that your reconcilliation bill is on its way. For many of you this will mean a rise in your mortgage payment to cover your esrow.
We said last year when the governor called for the reassessment that you should continue protesting in spite of the reassessment. Yet most people went back to their lives and abandoned the cause.
Me and the other main tax activists received lots of letters thanking us for fighting the fight, yet realistically are we supposed to sacrifice our lives and all of our free time for citizens who will not do the work for themselves? It takes more than twelve people to get this job done.
We lost this battle big time. You will likely not receive a decrease in your property tax payment and you picked up a one penny sales tax increase.
Short of 10,000 people protesting on the State House lawn during multiple protests, I don't think we're going to get anywhere toward this goal.
But you can take comfort in the fact that your state senators (including Teresa Lubbers) successfully managed to move property tax repeal to a summer study session and are effectively eliminating its possibility as you read this message and get your new bill.
How many times are you going to let your government dupe you?

Andy Horning asks do you want your Governor to govern YOU or your government?
Andy Horning is the only constitutionalist on the ballot for Governor this year. And while Mitch Daniels is very popular and works hard for people, does he do a good job of governing government and requiring our legislators to obey the rule of law?
In short Andy suggests that you are making a good decision by voting for Mitch Daniels if you yourself need governed. However, if you expect your government to be governed, you need a different kind of Governor.
Here's what Andy has to say on the matter.

If only Sheriff Frank Anderson was so kind
Trouble Is, He Is the Law; Philly's Sheriff Green Doesn't Do Foreclosures, to Lenders' Dismay
Sheriff Takes Law Into His Own Hands
PHILADELPHIA -- Sheriff John Green has spent 37 years in law enforcement. But these days he's best known around town for the law he won't enforce.
With the economy soft and thousands of Philadelphians delinquent on their mortgages, Sheriff Green this spring refused to hold a court-ordered foreclosure auction. His move raised eyebrows on the bench and dropped jaws among lenders and their attorneys, who accuse him of shirking his duty to enforce legal contracts.
It also prompted a sweeping, court-endorsed deal, scheduled to go into effect next week, that aims to help homeowners avoid foreclosure. Even as Congress moves forward with a federal plan that could insure up to $300 billion in refinanced mortgages, Mr. Green's unilateral approach has pushed Philadelphia to the leading edge of local responses to the national crisis.
"More of our neighbors, our families and our friends are falling behind on their mortgages and losing their homes" to foreclosure, the 60-year-old Mr. Green writes in a "Declaration of Neighborhood Stability" on his Web site, http://www.phillysheriff.com/. "My staff and I watch the suffering every day and witness the heart-wrenching scenes as families lose their primary means of wealth-building and face eviction."
Mr. Green's 241-person sheriff's department is the armed wing of Philadelphia County courts, charged with transporting prisoners, securing courtrooms and auctioning off foreclosed properties at sheriff sales. In a city beset by poverty and crime, Mr. Green has emerged as an unlikely blend of lawman, politician, spiritual leader and social worker.
Desperate Homeowners
A dozen or more desperate homeowners appear in the sheriff's lobby each day, seeking solace and counsel from Deputy Sheriff's Officer Marquette Parsons, who sits at the front desk wearing blue and packing a sidearm. "This is the end of the line," Mr. Parsons says. "They have to face reality now, because they're facing a sheriff sale." Mr. Parsons helps homeowners understand documents they've received from the court and advises them how to reach housing counselors. Sometimes he'll contact the lender's attorney to mediate a misunderstanding.
The sheriff runs ads in local papers urging people to take "Sheriff Green's Important Steps to Saving Your Home."
Mr. Green, a police sergeant when he was elected sheriff in 1987, has a politico's eye for his job. Last month, he presented a commendation for valor to an officer who was robbed at gunpoint while sitting in a barber's chair and wounded one thief in the ensuing firefight. Standing next to the taller officer for the photo opportunity, Mr. Green hiked himself onto his toes. "Just one second," he said. "I'm going to become a politician." Everyone laughed. But he stayed on his tiptoes until the photographers finished their shots.
The sheriff says his political life merges with his religious calling. "Everything you do is part of your faith," he says. For the past 20 years, Mr. Green, who is married and has six children, has hosted an annual prayer breakfast that has become a see-and-be-seen event for the city's political elite.
The 80-page program from this year's breakfast is jammed with paid congratulatory ads from businesses and unions, clergymen and subordinates, office holders and office seekers. "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice," wrote one pastor, quoting the Book of Proverbs.
The sheriff first made his mark in the foreclosure issue in 2004, when he noticed a spike in the number of delinquent properties the court was ordering sold. He postponed one month's auction and then went to Judge Annette Rizzo of the Court of Common Pleas seeking to legalize the move.
"We have to stop the bleeding," the judge recalls the sheriff saying in a courtroom crowded with worried homeowners. The sheriff says he doesn't remember making such a statement.
"Really what he did was not legal," Judge Rizzo says of the sheriff's decision to stop the auction.
During a recess, she summoned the lenders' lawyers, the sheriff, consumer advocates and the city solicitor into the back room. She asked them to form a committee to determine which individual homeowners deserved a delay, aid through existing government programs, or just a graceful exit from their house. But she declined to order a blanket moratorium on sales.
In 2007, the foreclosure wave began to swell again. Because Philadelphia didn't experience a big run-up in home prices, it isn't in as bad shape as hotter markets in Florida and Nevada. Nonetheless, foreclosure filings in the city rose to 6,237, from 5,288 the year before. Early this year, approximately 1,000 properties a month were going on the block at the sheriff sales, according to the sheriff's office.
The trend caught the attention of Curtis Jones Jr., who had won a seat on the City Council a few months earlier and was eager to make a splash. He teamed up with consumer advocates and a senior colleague, Councilwoman Marian Tasco, to write a resolution calling on the sheriff and the Court of Common Pleas president judge, C. Darnell Jones II, to impose an indefinite moratorium on foreclosure sales.
On March 27, in its gilt-and-green chambers, the City Council unanimously voted its approval. It was a nonbinding resolution, more of a political statement than a practical one.
But as the council meeting moved to other matters, one of the sheriff's senior aides phoned Mr. Green to tell him the resolution had passed. The sheriff decided on the spot to postpone the next sale and go to court seeking a longer moratorium. The aide relayed the decision to Councilwoman Tasco, who interrupted the meeting with the news. Housing advocates and their allies in the audience broke into applause.
"We knew [Sheriff Green] would do that," Ms. Tasco told the council. "He cares about the citizens of Philadelphia."
Bad for Business
Mortgage lenders, servicers and their attorneys thought Mr. Green was acting more Robin Hood than sheriff. "It's not his job to postpone things in favor of certain people," says Michael VanBuskirk, a Philadelphia attorney, who describes the city as a "legal free-fire zone." The city, he says, is "less attractive to business if you can't be certain that the sheriff won't invalidate a contract."
Mr. Green and Judge Jones are casual golfing buddies. Still, Judge Jones warned the sheriff at a meeting soon after the announcement that a blanket moratorium on the sales was "unwise and more-likely-than-not illegal."
Mr. Green says he never considered the legality of his decision to halt foreclosure sales. His aides say he is being cagey and that he saw himself as a catalyst to get the court to take action.
People Are the Law
"It's not the sheriff's job to sell houses," says Deputy Sheriff's Officer Paris Washington, a veteran of the department and its head of training. "It's the sheriff's job to serve the people who elected him. Because he was elected by the people, he has to listen to the people. Aren't the people the law?"
In closed-door negotiations in April with lenders' attorneys and housing advocates, Judges Jones and Rizzo worked out a streamlined process intended to make loans more affordable for delinquent borrowers who live in their houses.
Such homeowners are entitled to a free lawyer at court-supervised conciliation sessions with their loan-servicing company. Housing counselors are lined up to help assemble financial information to enable servicers and their lawyers to assess borrowers' ability to pay. The lenders are under no legal obligation to reduce principal or interest, but they face strong pressure to make allowances.
Michael McKeever, a partner in Goldbeck, McCafferty & McKeever, says that his clients -- large loan servicers and investors -- welcome the court initiative's potential to help borrowers resolve their debt problems. This week Mayor Michael A. Nutter offered $1 million to finance borrowers' attorneys and counselors.
To give the plan a chance, Judge Jones ordered that sheriff sales on such owner-occupied properties be suspended at least through next month. The foreclosure wave "is a problem," the judge says. "Is there a way we can do this in a way consistent with the law?"
Mr. Green downplays his own role. "All I did was provide enough time for a solution to develop, which was the easy part," he says.
Our tax bills are coming this month. How many more Hoosiers do you think will be faced with losing their homes due to property taxes? Remember, it is not to late to file a request for a full refund of the portion of your property tax that has been mproperly collected in violation of Article 8 of the Indiana Constitution. You simply need to cut and paste the content into a word document, sign it with a notary present, and send a copy to your county assessor and to your county treasurer. Here is the form.

Libertarian Candidate for President admits past mistakes
Bob Barr is likely the best choice we have for president. He defected from the Republican party about a year or so ago and publicly admitted his past policy mistakes (patriot act, war on drugs, etc.) and saw the light.
Over on Tim Maguire's new blog, "Justice & Fortitude", Patriot Paul did an excellent job of compiling a detailed overview of Bob Barr, his bio, his Congressional voting record, and where he stands today on the issues pressing our country at a time when is she so vulnerable.
Please watch Bob Barr carefully and vote for him IF you think he is the best candidate. For once stop voting for the lesser evil on the R or D ticket because that is the behavior that got us where we are today.

Hillary concedes, but still wants your donation
The letter below was received today with a big DONATION button link following her signature.
Dear Melyssa,
I wanted you to be one of the first to know: on Saturday, I will hold an event in Washington D.C. to thank everyone who has supported my campaign. Over the course of the last 16 months, I have been privileged and touched to witness the incredible dedication and sacrifice of so many people working for our campaign. Every minute you put into helping us win, every dollar you gave to keep up the fight meant more to me than I can ever possibly tell you.
On Saturday, I will extend my congratulations to Senator Obama and my support for his candidacy. This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans.
I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democratic Party's nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise.
When I decided to run for president, I knew exactly why I was getting into this race: to work hard every day for the millions of Americans who need a voice in the White House.
I made you -- and everyone who supported me -- a promise: to stand up for our shared values and to never back down. I'm going to keep that promise today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life.
I will be speaking on Saturday about how together we can rally the party behind Senator Obama. The stakes are too high and the task before us too important to do otherwise.
I know as I continue my lifelong work for a stronger America and a better world, I will turn to you for the support, the strength, and the commitment that you have shown me in the past 16 months. And I will always keep faith with the issues and causes that are important to you.
In the past few days, you have shown that support once again with hundreds of thousands of messages to the campaign, and again, I am touched by your thoughtfulness and kindness.
I can never possibly express my gratitude, so let me say simply, thank you.
Sincerely,
Hillary Rodham Clinton

JUSTICE & FORTITUDE: Timothy Maguire's voice joins Indy's blog community
HFFT is a huge fan of Tim Maguire and his wife Allison. You might recall that they came to every property tax rally last summer and are dedicated Libertarian activists who tirelessly support small government, fiscal accountability of politicians, rule of law, and personal freedom.
Tim represents the breed of Libertarian you used to find in the Republican party, back when the Republicans stood for small government.
His blog, Justice & Fortitude, is highly recommended reading.

Gallup: Republican President George Bush sets all time record...for public disapproval
This post is for the Republican Party. Your president miserably failed Americans. More than any other president, George W. Bush made us fearful, embarrassed, ashamed, in debt, and caused us to loose important rights.
Do you seriously think that the Republican Party and America will be saved by McCain who is often ridiculed as a big government socialist or "the lesser evil"?
Because Bush failed Americans, and the Republican Party allowed it to happen, America is likely to end up with the most left leaning legislator in history, Barack Hussein Obama. Not only is Obama extreme left leaning, but he has no executive experience.
You all did good by America for your blind support of the two party system, didn't you? You get to choose between evil and evil. You get to choose the lesser evil to lead America.
Some Republicans tried to give you Ron Paul, but you let the mainstream media and corrupt party insiders neuter him. Even though Ron Paul won the early debates by a landslide, you allowed the corrupt corporate controlled media to nearly silence him.
Still think your two-party system serves America well?
To the rest of you who are sick of these politics and the media that controls public opinion, consider that if you do what you've always done, you shall get what you always got. Are you really so simple-minded that you will keep doing what you did to land you here?
Right now it is time to stop listening to anyone who tells you that a principled third party can't change America. It can, but only if you empower it by your involvement and your vote.
The rise of a third party, steady and grounded in purpose, is the only way America will be returned to the greatness our founding fathers so carefully crafted for her. The only question is how long will it take for America to stop settling for "the lesser evil".
Aren't you and America worth more than that?

Internet hits show media bias for Obama
Data and numbers do not lie. Here you ssee an explanation more accurate than any poll as to what the corporate controlled mainstream media does to influence elections. You are being duped. The question is, do you realize it?

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report: The report your government does not talk about
Dr. Bill Styring, a world class economist and Indiana policy insider, was given a copy of Indiana's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report by a tax activist to analyze. Styring's conclusion was that he could not make sense of the report due to changes in the format with an appearance that it was done purposely to make the report difficult to understand...even for a world class economist.
Yet the CAFR (Comprehensive Annual Financial Report) is the lone document that tells the true wealth of your government, not what the budget and budget deficit/surplus is. Budgets and their surplus/deficits are all you hear from the mainstream news media. You don't hear a peep from mainstream media about the CAFR and our government's true income derived from a very long list of tax revenue sources*.
The CAFR1.com site has been in existence for a decade. In 1998, the site had only about 14 hits. Now they report about 16 million hits, yet not a peep is uttered about the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report by mainstream media.
Why is that?
The answer is that your government does not want you to know how much money they squirrel away off budget. They want you to think that they need to raise your taxes to pay for government "services".
We recommend you learn more about the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Better yet, ask your government for a copy. Odds are they will either act like they don't know about its existence or refuse to give you a copy.
We also requested a copy of the federal CAFR from Congressman Carson's office today and recorded the telephone call to one of his very helpful young interns. Congressman Carson's intern, a law school student from North Carolina, had no idea what the CAFR was until she was called today.
