Howey Political Report Forum: Dialogue 2008

Madam Walker Theatre Center in Indianapolis

In what will be the first joint appearance before the general public of the 2008 gubernatorial campaign, Democrats Jill Long Thompson and Jim Schellinger will headline the HPR Forum.
The event is free, but requires an advance RSVP to howeypolitics@gmail.com and a canned food item that will be donated to the Julian Center's Food Bank.
Following Thompson and Schellinger, Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman will speak on behalf of Governor Mitch Daniels. The three will then be available for questions from the audience and a media panel.
Chris Cillizza, who writes "The Fix" political blog for the Washington Post will keynote the forum, talking about the rise of the Internet in politics as well as the 2008 presidential, gubernatorial and congressional races. The presidential and Indiana gubernatorial races are now rapidly evolving. This will be the first chance for the general public to hear the candidates talk about the critical public policy issues of our time. Let the dialogue begin!
12:00 p.m. - Registration Begins. Please bring a canned food item for the Julian Center food bank. Advance registration at howeypolitics@gmail.com is required.
1:00 p.m. - Opening remarks by HPR Publisher Brian A. Howey.
1:15 p.m. - Jill Long Thompson and Jim Schellinger remarks followed by Indiana media panel and audience questions.2:30 p.m. - Lt. Governor Becky Skillman
3:30 p.m.- Chris Cillizza, Washington Post, followed by Q and A with panel of Indiana bloggers.
5:00 p.m. - Free reception at the Walker Center featuring music by Rusty Humphrey, Bill Lancton and Kevin Kouts.
