It was 2007, not 2008.
Regardless, this is EXACTLY what Ron Paul wants. He does not want to be shown as leading in the poll leading up to the election. The media measures success by expectations. If the polls show him secodn or third and he wins it is a much bigger victory than if he polls #1 and finishes #1.
The mayor's election was in 2007 for the 2008 office.
I wasn't sure the correct way to put it.
